GDPR-compliant by design — here is how
A cookie banner is needed when a website stores or reads something on a visitor's device, or keeps personal data about them. TrafficPoppy does neither, by construction:
Nothing on the visitor's device
No cookies, no local storage, no fingerprinting. The script sends a page view and touches nothing else.
No personal data kept
An IP address is used for an instant to tell visitors apart and is never written down. The key that counts unique visitors is destroyed every day, so nobody can be followed from one day to the next.
"No" means not counted
Visitors whose browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control aren't counted at all — not even anonymously.
Only what analytics needs
Pages, the website a visit came from (never the full link, which can carry private details), campaign tags, and broad browser and device types.

Your visitors' data never reaches us
Most analytics tools collect your visitors on their own servers. TrafficPoppy doesn't have any. When you install it, it builds a small collector and a table of counts inside your own cloud account — the one you already control and pay for.
Every visit goes from your website straight there, and your statistics are read from there. Nobody sits in the middle, including us — so there is nothing of yours for anyone to see, sell or lose.
A small site runs for cents a month, and the app shows what it spends. Remove it and everything it created goes with it — the removal is tested against a real cloud account and has to leave nothing behind.
See where visits come from — and where they go
Traffic flow draws the whole journey in one picture: which websites send people in, the pages they land on, and where they move on or leave.
It's all counts, never individuals — you see that 604 visits came from reddit.com, never who made them.
Count what you actually wanted
A conversion is the thing you want visitors to do: reach a thank-you page, or press a buy, download or contact button. Setting one up is a single question — and page conversions even count the visits you had already recorded.
You see how many conversions, how many different visitors, and the rate. Who converted is never recorded.

Questions
Do I really not need a cookie banner?
Not for TrafficPoppy. A banner is needed when something is stored on or read from a visitor's device, or when personal data is kept — and TrafficPoppy does neither. If other tools on your website use cookies, those may still need one.
Why are unique visitors counted day by day?
Because the key that tells visitors apart is destroyed every day — that is what keeps them anonymous. You can choose to recognise returning visitors for up to a week; it stays at one day unless you change it.
Where does my data live?
In your own cloud account, in storage the app creates when you install it and removes when you uninstall it. Your visitors' data never passes through us.
Does it slow my website down?
The script is about 1 KB and loads without holding up your page. It works on single-page apps too.
